Site assessment

Assessing the terrain of your garden is an important technical step in the process of understanding your space.

During this exercise we'll explore the area, its topography, moisture and drainage levels, soil composition, lighting conditions, microclimate and weather patterns. Additionally we'll make note of existing utility lines (pipes, wires etc) and other installations.

Concept Plan

This is first phase of the creative process. It will reflect insights gained from the site assessment and well as your pre-requisites.

The concept plan establishes the design theme which is derived from your preferences the site's context, and any relevant architectural elements. It will outline key design principles such as balance, unity, rhythm, proportion, and focal points.

The main goal of a concept plan is to help you visualise our ides and hear back from you on things you loved and those you loved less ;)

Master Plan

The master plan is a comprehensive document which will include detailed design elements, such as specific plant selections (including exact planting location, quantity, and species of plants to be used), hardscape materials (e.g., pathways, patios, decks), and other landscape elements like water features, lighting, or outdoor structures.

Sounds easy, but this is the fact the most time consuming part of a landscape design.

Planting Plan

The planting plan covers all the information about the planned vegetation. It will outline the placement and selection of plants, including trees, shrubs, flowers, and groundcovers. Color schemes, textures, and seasonal interest of the plantings will be taken in consideration when putting it together.

Generally speaking the planting plan is a technical document primarily used for building the garden. It lists the exact plant varieties, quantities, location as well as planting spacing.

Project Visualisation

The design visualisation will provide illustrations that capture the essence of the proposed design.

Typically rendered images will be used to convey the intended look and feel of the future landscape.

Implementation Supervision

Implementation supervision involves overseeing the construction and installation of the landscape design to ensure that it aligns with the design intent and meets your expectations. Additionally we love to help our clients in selecting the materials to use, such as finding the right and healthy planting material.

The supervision phase is essential for addressing any issues that may arise during construction, ensuring quality control, and facilitating effective communication between the design team and contractors.
